Established in 2004, the Institute for Education, Research, and Scholarships (IFERS) is an award-winning California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity organization who sponsors conferences, events, interviews, and scholarships for scientific and social research. We believe in changing the world for the better through education, research, and scholarships. Our ultimate goal is to create a better world with lasting peace, prosperity, and universal rights for all.

2019 ECET2 Southwest Conference

The 501(c)(3) nonprofit Institute for Education, Research, and Scholarships (IFERS) is the fiscal sponsor of the 2019 ECET2 (Elevating and Celebrating Effective Teachers and Teaching) Southwest Conference covering the states of California, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, and Colorado.

The 2019 ECET2 Southwest regional conference was held on February 22-24th at the Buena Park High School in California. Teachers experienced opportunities to meet with other teacher leaders, shared how they lead, and set new goals for leading in their community, while developing a personal network of teacher leaders to support and celebrate teacher leader activities. At the close of ECET2SW, each school came away with action plans and a supportive professional learning network of educators dedicated to implementing their action plans.

2019 Wellness & Longevity Seminar + Book Signing

The 501(c)(3) nonprofit Institute for Education, Research, and Scholarships (IFERS) is a proud sponsor of the 2019 Wellness & Longevity Seminar + Book Signing on August 24th in Burbank, California. In the quest for super longevity and the fountain of youth, we examined our physical, mental, spiritual, social, and environmental health and wellness. Authors were present for the book signing of The Transhumanism Handbook (Switzerland: Springer Nature, 2019), the #1 New Release in Preventive Medicine on Amazon.com for 4 months.

2018 Earth Day Peace Conference

The 501(c)(3) nonprofit Institute for Education, Research, and Scholarships (IFERS) is a proud sponsor of the 2018 Earth Day Peace Conference and Movie Screening on April 22nd at Woodbury University, Burbank, California. The event was hosted by Prof. Newton Lee, Pete Allman, and Alex Ayzin. Activities include a screening of the documentary "Winds of Freedom", an educational documentary and symphonic multimedia presentation that promotes harmony and cooperation among nations. The original music was played with a 100-piece symphony at Carnegie Hall.

2016 Computer Graphics & Animation Conference

The 501(c)(3) nonprofit Institute for Education, Research, and Scholarships (IFERS) is a proud sponsor of the 3rd annual 2016 International Computer Graphics & Animation conference on November 7-9th in Las Vegas, USA where scientists, researchers, educators, professionals, practitioners, animators, graphic designers, software developers, artists, students and professors exchanged ideas about the latest technologies.

Co-sponsored by the Institute for Education, Research, and Scholarships (IFERS) and the Science and Engineering Research Support soCiety (SERSC), the best presentation/poster received $1,000 in scholarship. Congratulations to Esteban Gil Martinez from Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education for winning the best poster presentation "Machine Learning in Video Games."

2006 Scholarships Conference

Co-sponsored by the American Film Institute (AFI) and in association with the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Computers in Entertainment, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Institute for Education, Research, and Scholarships (IFERS) presented the $15,000 Scholarship Awards on behalf of NUS Mixed Reality Lab to three international students at the AFI in Hollywood, California, on November 4, 2006, with special guest appearances of and keynotes by music legend Quincy Jones and ACM Fellow Dr. Alan Kay.

A one-of-a-kind silent auction included one-hour individual brainstorming sessions with the legendary and visionary leaders Dr. Alan Kay (Viewpoints Research Institute), Seamus Blackley (co-inventor of Microsoft Xbox), and Seymour Papert (MIT Media Lab).
